Web Design
After being asked to make a web design for any project of your interest, I chose the Wisconsin Film Festival. This annual event, hosted in Madison, uplifts independent filmmakers from across the country; the films span from documentaries to drama films. I enjoy this event for its importance in the community, and I was interested in how their branding worked. After researching their marketing and web design, I noticed their out-dated approach to visualizing their event. I created this design blending film aesthetics, their local-feel, and the power of filmmaking. Their promotional brochure, used as the background to my design, captures the DIY-atmosphere of the films and their local voices.
